AP Environmental Science is designed to be the equivalent of an introductory college course in environmental science. The goal of the AP Environmental Science course is to provide students with the scientific concepts, principles, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and anthropogenic, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing them.
Our class goal is to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and virtues that make for not only successful science students, but also informed and effective citizens.
The AP Environmental Science course has two essential components: Scientific Practices and Course Content.
